The difference between compound and masterbatch

The mechanism of compounds and masterbatches is the same, but the difference between these two substances is the percentage of each added in the final products. In fact, compounds are compounds that are used completely and without any additional compounds to produce plastic products. But on the other hand, in some cases, masterbatches cannot be used alone to produce a plastic injection piece, so it is necessary to use them together with polymer bases and necessary additives directly to produce the final product.

*Application of polymer* *compounds Polyethylene*

compound is one of the types of polymer compounds that are used in various industries such as the production of irrigation pipes, pressure pipes and wind films. Another application that can be mentioned is for the production of car bumpers, which requires compounding polypropylene with a rubber material such as EPDM to increase the impact properties at ambient temperatures and negative temperatures.
Other uses of polymer compounds include the production of household appliances and automobiles, the production of electrical and electronic components, the production of disposable and dairy containers through the thermoforming process, sewage pipes (Bush Fit), hoses, five-layer pipes, etc. In general, the production of a compound is done by compounding companies based on the customer’s order and his level of expectations.

Our company relies on the experience of its managers and expert staff and equipped laboratories in the field of producing Masterbatch Granular Polymer Compounds and Recycle Compounds in accordance with the composition required by our dear customers for their needs and consumption and from consultation and production to transportation and export. One of our services is to satisfy our dear customers.

*Types of compounds*

1. Polyolefins: This includes polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP). These polymers are composed of simple hydrocarbons and are used to produce various types of polymer compounds. For example, polymer compounds including polyethylene can use plant fibers or other chemicals to improve their mechanical and physical properties.

2. Polyvinyl chloride (PVC): PVC is one of the popular polymers in the production of polymer compounds. It can be combined with materials such as plasticizers (e.g. phthalates) or various fillers to add various properties such as flexibility, heat resistance, and hardness.

3. Polyamides (Nylon): These polymers are very resistant and high strength and are used to produce polymer compounds that are suitable for applications such as automotive and textile industries due to their good mechanical properties.

4. Polyesters: Polyesters are also used in the composition of polymer compounds to produce films, fibers, and coating materials. For example, polyesters can be combined with softeners or anti-UV materials to make them suitable for certain applications.

5. Polycarbonates: These polymers are used in applications such as the production of windows and electronic devices due to their transparency and impact resistance. They can be combined with different materials to achieve different properties.

6. Fiber-Reinforced Polyamides: These types of polymers are produced by adding vegetable fibers or other reinforcing materials such as carbon or glass fibers, which have stronger mechanical properties and are suitable for the automotive industry and mechanical tools.
